KILL THE HILL
So youβve cycled Mallorca, ridden the Tramuntana mountains from Cap Formentor to Andratx, conquered Sa Calobra and hit the peak of Puig Major? Well, no you havenβtβ¦but now you have the chance.
CASQUETTE CULTURE
The cycling cap is an icon. As visually synonymous with the sport as a yellow jersey or razor sharp tan lines and its cultural significance has reached well beyond those who put the hard graft into the pedals. At one time, this uniquely quirky piece of headgear was exclusively owned by the cycling community, however, it was only a question of time before the nerdy cloth cap was absorbed by the zeitgeist and permeated popular culture.
DISCOVER MALLORCA
From the capital city Palma in the south to Port de Pollenca in the north, the international cycling community enthusiastically and sustainably exploits its natural resources. Ask any seasoned cyclist about Mallorca and theyβll wax lyrical about the roads, especially those that navigate the stunning Serra de Tramuntana mountain range which dominates the islands northwest coast.
EXPLORING SARDINIA
Sardinia, Italyβs second largest island in the Mediterranean Sea, is pretty wild but also more accessible for cyclists than some other Italian regions, especially in the south. The island really fascinates those who travel there; history, culture, food and marvellous, clear blue waters enchant everyone in search of a cycling trip here.β¨
REFUEL AND REST
Getting the very best out of the days in the saddle means planning some down time off the bike to recharge and recuperate. Amazing rides require great places to stay and enjoy the local hospitality, food and culture.
PACKING LIGHT
Packing for your cycling holiday or bike tour may not be the most exciting part of the planning, however it might be the make or break of a really successful trip. Thereβs an art to ensuring you have exactly what you do need but not too much more.
PROJECT BREATHE
Have you ever stopped to really consider, what would happen if our planet could no longer breathe? If the trees were unable to absorb enough sunlight to synthesise sufficient oxygen, if the oceans reached a point of saturation beyond which they could no longer absorb carbon dioxide.
